Now is the time to lock in a strategy for year-end tax planning. This year in particular will see many changes – some tax breaks are expiring while some affluent individuals will witness higher rates.
Tax publisher, CCH, a Wolters Kluwer company, recently released a special report on 2013 Year-End Tax Planning.
It cites important changes made by the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012, provisions in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010, as well as the Supreme Court’s decision on same-sex marriage as some of the new legislation that will offer both challenges and opportunities to both individuals and businesses.
Taxpayers need to be aware of these changes and plan accordingly.
