As a 💼CPA, 🧮tax advisor, and 💰personal financial specialist, I have been fortunate to work with many clients and help them achieve their financial goals. One of the most rewarding experiences in my profession was helping Jose Antonio plan for his son’s college education.
Approximately 20 years ago, Jose expressed his concerns about paying for his son’s college education, and I proposed a life insurance policy for college planning. Fast forward a dozen years, and Jose’s son, Omar Antonio, has just graduated from Concordia University in Montreal with a major in Film Production. Omar applied to the prestigious American Film Institute in Los Angeles for graduate work.
During the interview at AFI, Omar was asked how he would afford the nearly $100k tuition and living expenses. Omar responded, “My father did college planning many years ago, anticipating this very day.”
Jose and I recently met on another matter. He told me about his son’s AFI interview and subsequent decision to attend New York University’s Graduate Film Program. Jose could not be prouder. He thanked me for helping to make it possible and said, “Thank you, Miguel.”
